Information for Physicians
Your expertise as a pediatric ophthalmologist is the heart of the All Children See (ACS) program. Through your time, compassion, and care, underserved children across the United States receive the vision services they would otherwise go without.
For New Volunteers
All Children See is a public service program of the Children’s Eye Foundation of AAPOS that connects underserved children (U.S. citizens or legal residents under 18) with volunteer pediatric ophthalmologists for no-cost medical eye exams and follow-up care for up to one year.
How It Works
- Families apply for care at allchildrensee.org/patient.
- Eligible children are matched by zip code to the nearest volunteer ophthalmologist.
- You are notified via email if a family will be reaching out to make an appointment after visiting the ACS registry. Families are expected to reach your office.
- Your office schedules the appointment, and you provide a comprehensive exam, plus any needed follow up care for up to one year.
- All Children See does provide reimbursements for glasses and patches. Learn more about our reimbursements, visit here .
- After the visit, you complete a short outcome form at allchildrensee.org/outcome.
What to Expect
- No billing involved: Even if the child has insurance, you will not bill the family or the insurer.
- Modest time commitment: Most volunteers see 2–4 patients per year, with a cap of 15 annually.
