Our Programs: By The Numbers
All Children See:
- 80+ children are seen by volunteer pediatric ophthalmologists through the program.
- There are now 100 volunteer pediatric ophthalmologists in the program across 30 states and Washington D.C..
Global Education and Training:
- 35+ international pediatric ophthalmologists have received a Miller International Travel award to attend the AAPOS Annual Meeting.
- 100+ medical students/residents have attended the AAPOS Annual Meeting through the Knights Templar Eye Foundation Ophthalmology Resident/Medical Student Travel Grant.
Vision Through Music:
- 60+ music teachers on the registry.
- Since 2023, seventeen students have started lessons thanks to Vision Through Music grants.
Stop Infant Blindness in Africa:
- 130+ pediatric ophthalmologists, neonatologist, and nurses trained in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria on telescreening protocols for retinopathy of prematurity in infants.

If you are an ophthalmologist or pediatric ophthalmologist, please consider volunteering for our direct patient care program, All Children See. Click here for the volunteer enrollment form.
If you are a music instructor or know someone who is, our Vision Through Music Program is looking for instructors to teach blind and visually impaired children.
If you are a medical student, the Pediatric Eye Ambassador Program is a great volunteer opportunity to engage with AAPOS members and learn more about pediatric ophthalmology and the All Children See program!
The Children’s Eye Foundation is evolving its Stop Infant Blindness in Africa (SIBA) program with a new telemedicine initiative, bringing expert ROP screening and treatment to premature infants in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria.
This innovative model helps prevent lifelong blindness, builds local capacity, and ensures care reaches even the most remote neonatal units.

With the support of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, SIBA is collaborating with EYESHA to train doctors, equip neonatal centers, and launch telescreening in Kenya, Uganda, and Nigeria to prevent retinopathy of prematurity, a leading cause of preventable blindness.
